MEN GET THIRD WIN IN A WEEK - 80-69 V LA SOUTHWEST

MEN'S BASKETBALL

The men go their third win in 7 days with tonight's 11 point victory over LA Southwest College.  The Cougars put the first point on the board off an early free-throw but once the Panthers took control of the ball, they never looked back; leading 43-29 at the halftime break.  With three key players in double digits, it's clear with the Panthers continue to move up the list in the weekly state poll.  Manu Oulai lead the Panthers with 21 points including several crowd favorite slamdunks.  Anthony Garcia continued his impressive run at the line shooting 2:2 tonight, with 15 points overall.  Garcia leaads the state in free-throw accuracy.  Sophomore Jaylen Wiltz rounded out the trio, racking up 10 points including two 3s.

Jeff Klein on tonight's win, "It's nice when all 12 guys can play on your home court, with 10 who scored."  The men are on the road Friday at LA Harbor and open the conference season at East LA Wednesday the 23rd.
