Chaffey Football Posts Powerful Numbers in Season of Development

The Chaffey College football team demonstrated resilience and continued development throughout a demanding 2025 season that featured matchups against several of the region's top programs in the Southern California Football Association (SCFA) National Southern League. The Panthers produced 3,858 yards of total offense across 10 games, averaging 385.8 yards per game, while showcasing one of the most productive passing attacks in the conference.

Chaffey's quarterbacks combined for 2,728 passing yards and 25 touchdowns, averaging nearly 273 passing yards per game. The Panthers also generated 1,130 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns, led by Evan Powell's dual-threat contributions and Hakim Halliburton's steady production out of the backfield. In 98 rushes, Halliburton's longest gain was 19 yards and averaged 3.6 yards per rush.

Chaffey's receivers emerged as a defining strength of the season. The Panthers recorded 206 total receptions, highlighted by standout performances from Nathan Enriquez (667 yards, 5 TDs), Justin Benson (494 yards, 6 TDs), and Nehemiah Harrison (426 yards, 6 TDs). The team averaged 13.2 yards per reception, consistently stretching the field with explosive passing plays, including multiple touchdowns of 60+ yards.

Defensively, Chaffey totaled 642 tackles, 22 sacks, and 12 interceptions, led by Donovan Brown (52 total tackles), Zyhaire Lewis (47 tackles, 5.5 TFL), Miking Cash (40 tackles, 6.0 TFL), and freshman standout Sivaj Dejurnett-Simmons (7.0 TFL, 6.0 sacks). The Panthers also produced two defensive touchdowns and recovered 10 fumbles, showing marked improvement in creating turnovers and generating pressure.

On special teams, kicker Mustafa Hnyin delivered 35 total points, converting 29 extra points and two field goals, while the return unit contributed 856 total yards across kicks and punts.

Despite the challenges reflected in the final record (1-9 overall, 0-7 conference), the 2025 season was defined by measurable growth, an assertive offensive production, and a young group gaining valuable game experience. With numerous impact players set to return and the team's statistical foundation trending upward, the Panthers are positioned to build on this year's development as they prepare to resume competition in the SCFA National Southern League in 2026.
