The Inland Empire Athletic Conference (IEAC) has announced its 2025 Men's Soccer All-Conference Team, with nine Panthers earning postseason honors, highlighted by one major award recipient.
Freshman forward Julio Martinez was named the IEAC Offensive Player of the Year after delivering a standout season with 13 goals, 15 assists, and 41 points, leading one of the conference's most productive attacking units. Martinez earned IEAC Player of the Week honors twice, during the weeks of Sept. 22-27 and Oct. 6-11.
Chaffey placed three players on the First Team All-Conference list, underscoring the team's expanded depth, improved offensive balance, and strengthened defensive structure throughout the 2025 season. First-team selections included:
Kevin Velasquez – Forward
Alesandros Sanchez – Defender
Diego Garcia – Forward
Freshman forward Velasquez delivered 11 goals and two assists across 18 matches, consistently stretching opposing back lines with his pace, movement, and ability to create chances in transition. Velasquez earned IEAC Player of the Week honors from Sept. 1-6. Freshman defender Sanchez led the back line with 21 starts, contributing two goals and two assists while showcasing composure, timing, and defensive consistency. Sanchez earned IEAC Player of the Week recognition from Sept. 29-Oct. 4. Sophomore forward Garcia added another reliable attacking presence, finishing the year with eight goals and eight assists and earning IEAC Player of the Week honors from Aug. 25-30 for his early-season offensive impact.
Three Panthers earned Second Team All-Conference recognition:
Alberto Gomez – Defender
Ernesto De Lara – Midfielder
Ryan Pruitt – Defender (Two-Time Honoree)
Second-team selections reflected Chaffey's well-rounded contributions through the midfield and defensive third. Freshman defender Gomez (one goal, six assists) provided long-range service and set-piece quality, while freshman midfielder De Lara added three goals and four assists as one of the team's most composed central playmakers. Sophomore defender Pruitt contributed one goal and two assists with 17 starts, offering veteran stability and leadership in the defensive third. Pruitt earned Second Team All-Conference honors in 2024 as well.
Two Panthers received Honorable Mention recognition:
Alex Andrade Portillo – Defender
Adrien Vazquez – Midfielder
Honorable Mention selections highlighted important rotational contributors. Freshman defender Andrade Portillo added stability across 15 appearances with one goal and one assist, reinforcing the back line with reliable defensive coverage. Sophomore midfielder Vazquez supplied versatility in central roles, contributing three goals and five assists while linking play between defensive and attacking phases.
Chaffey's strong representation across all three tiers of All-Conference selections reflects the program's significant progress during the 2025 season and the impact of both returning leaders and emerging first-year talent. These honors underscore the Panthers' competitive rise within the IEAC and highlight a roster built on balanced scoring, midfield playmaking, and a steadily improving defensive structure.
