MARQUEZ NAMED IEAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Congratulations to Marissa Marquez for being named the Inland Empire Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week (March 28-April 3).  In 3 games last week, all victories for Chaffey (21-9 overall), Marquez went 7 for 9 at the plate with a walk, three doubles and a home run along with 5 runs scored and 5 RBI. The freshman shortstop was also flawless in the field (her last error was 6 weeks ago)! For the season, Marquez is fielding at a .973 rate and batting .484 in the clean-up position.

Isabella Anzueto earned honorable mention recognition also.
