It came down to the buzzer tonight as the Panthers defeated Cerritos College 57-56 at home. In the first quarter, the Falcons came on strong outscoring Chaffey 19-13 but by the break, the tides had turned and the Panthers took the lead 29-27 to start the 2nd half. in the 3rd, the Panthers again took charge and continued to hold on until the final horn after a Brilonnie Bell jump shot put the Panthers up 57-53.
Bell led the Panthers with 16 points and 10 rebounds for the sole double-double of the night. Jaylyn Edmonds had 14 points, Trinity Walker 11.
The Panthers open the conference season December 14th at home vs Palo Verde College.
