The Panthers defeated College of the Desert for the second time this season, this time 2-1 on the road. Angel Rodriguez scored 35 minutes into play to take the Chaffey squad into the break up 1-0. Neah Hayles scored three minutes into the 2nd period while the Roadrunners remained scoreless. Desert got one by Savannah Ornelas deep into the 2nd half; Ornelas had two saves in 90 minutes.
Head Coach Grace Cooper: "Desert is always a hard place to play. So were happy with the victory. But we are going to need to play much better if we want to make a good run in playoffs."
The Panthers continue on the road today traveling to Victor Valley later today.
