Panthers Drop Road Match in Straight Sets Against Seahawks
The Chaffey College volleyball team faced a tough challenge on the road Friday night, dropping a three-set match to LA Harbor College (25-17, 25-18, 25-18).
Bria Love was the offensive standout for Chaffey, recording 10 kills, four digs, one ace, finishing with a team-high 11 points. Lauren Medina contributed four kills and one dig, while Emma Rhodes added four kills and a service ace for five points. Kasey Quevedo provided efficiency at the net, recording two kills.
Grace Hoang steadied the defense with 11 digs and added three service aces, while Natalia Frausto finished with 10 assists and three service aces. Madalyn Ayers-Morris recorded six assists and one kill.
Overall, the Panthers finished the match with 18 kills, eight service aces, and 21 digs, showing moments of balance between offense and defense. While LA Harbor built momentum with timely point runs in each set, Chaffey fought to stay within striking distance and demonstrated hustle throughout extended rallies.
The Panthers will turn their focus to the next home matchup against Santa Ana College on Monday, September 15 at 5 p.m.
