Chaffey Closes Strong but Comes Up Short at Cerro Coso
The Chaffey College volleyball team fell in straight sets to Cerro Coso College (25-11, 25-13, 25-22) on Friday evening. The Panthers showed resilience throughout the match, closing strong in the third set with improved rhythm and balanced play across all rotations.
Bria Love led Chaffey's offense with 10 kills, two service aces, and one assist, finishing with a team-high 12 points. Lauren Medina followed with four kills and three receptions, while Emma Rhodes added two kills and an ace. Maya Garza and Lailah Williams each added in a kill to round out the attack.

The Panthers found their stride late, building momentum in the third set with cleaner passing and more effective swings at the net. Despite a late push that brought the set within reach, the Coyotes held on to close out the match.
