Six Panthers Earn SCC All-Conference Honors
The South Coast Conference (SCC) has announced its 2025 Women's Water Polo All-Conference Team, with six Panthers earning conference honors.
Freshman goalkeeper Savannah Shaw was named to the First Team All-Conference list after emerging as a steady presence in the cage. Shaw appeared in 24 matches, recording 180 saves with a 46.3 percent save rate and six wins. Her range, late-quarter composure, and ability to anticipate perimeter movements kept the Panthers competitive in several close contests, stabilizing the team's defensive rotations throughout the season.
Two Panthers earned Second Team All-Conference selections:
Elise Camarena – Driver/Attacker
Sarah Alexander – Driver/Attacker
A dynamic two-way contributor, freshman driver/attacker Camarena delivered one of the most balanced seasons in the SCC. She totaled 53 goals, 33 assists, 47 steals, and converted 49.5 percent of her attempts, providing the Panthers with consistent production in both front court sets and counterattack opportunities. Freshman driver/attacker Alexander emerged as one of the conference's most dangerous attackers, finishing with a team-high 70 goals, along with 38 assists, 50 steals, and shot at 54.7 percent, the top mark among Chaffey's high-volume shooters. Her ability to create separation, generate steals, and score efficiently gave the Panthers a reliable frontline presence every game.
Three Panthers received Honorable Mention recognition:
Mikaela Hernandez – Driver/Attacker
Kaylee Pfalmer – Driver/Attacker
Ani Babayan – Driver/Attacker
Sophomore driver/attacker Hernandez provided veteran leadership and steady two-way play. She contributed 21 goals, 30 assists, 36 steals, and had 41.2 percent shooting efficiency, excelling in half-court distribution and counterattack transitions. Freshman driver/attacker Pfalmer emerged as a reliable performer, finishing with 25 goals, 37 assists, and a team-high 47 steals in 29 matches, showcasing her endurance, anticipation, and strong reads in the lanes. Freshman driver/attacker Babayan rounded out Chaffey's honorees and added important depth across all phases of play with 24 goals, 20 assists, 23 steals, and a 63.2% shooting percentage, the second-highest efficiency mark among Chaffey's core rotation.
These All-Conference selections reflect the reliable contributions made throughout the roster and underscore the program's steady development during the 2025 season.
