Panthers Strike Early, Cruise to 3-0 Win Over the Rams
The Chaffey College women's soccer team earned a 3–0 win at home over Victor Valley College on Friday afternoon. The Panthers displayed sharp offensive execution and defensive control, striking early to secure their sixth Inland Empire Athletic Conference victory of the season.
Chaffey wasted no time setting the tone, with Gionna Diez opening the scoring in the ninth minute off a pass from Chloe Rodriguez. Two minutes later, Karina Parchment doubled the lead with a composed finish assisted by Diez, giving the Panthers full control of the match. Parchment added her second goal in the 18th minute, converting a setup from Tegan Garcia to make it 3–0 before halftime.
The Panthers maintained their rhythm through the second half, controlling possession and limiting the Rams' attack. Midfielders Alexa Pereida and Natalia Gonzalez dictated tempo through the center, while defenders Sofia Guerrero, Rodriguez, and Emma Guadron anchored a disciplined back line. Goalkeeper Isabella Ortiz organized play from the back and earned the clean sheet. The clean sheet marked her eighth shutout of the season, continuing her standout defensive form.
Parchment led the Panthers with two goals, while Diez added a goal and an assist. Garcia and Rodriguez each recorded assists, helping Chaffey's attack remain fluid and balanced.
With the victory, the Panthers improve their conference record and continue their strong form late in the season. Chaffey will close out the regular season at home on Friday, Nov. 14, hosting MiraCosta College at 1:00 p.m.
