The Chaffey College volleyball team dropped their Inland Empire Athletic Conference matchup on Wednesday night, falling in straight sets to San Bernardino Valley College (25-9, 25-11, 25-14) at the Sports Center. The Panthers showed effort across all rotations and improved offensive consistency in the third set.
Bria Love led Chaffey with seven kills and 12 digs, providing energy on both sides of the net. Emma Rhodes and Lauren Medina each added three kills, while Kasey Quevedo contributed two kills on four attempts. Natalia Frausto directed the offense with nine assists and also served up two aces, and Madalyn Ayers-Morris added six assists and seven digs. Grace Hoang led the backcourt with a team-high 11 digs, helping the Panthers maintain long rallies against a strong Wolverines attack.
As a team, Chaffey finished with 18 kills, 17 assists, and 37 digs.
The Panthers are now 0-3 in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference and will travel to Cerro Coso College on Friday, October 10, with first serve scheduled for 5 p.m.
