Panthers Display Resilience in Road Loss to the Roadrunners
The Chaffey College women's volleyball team faced a tough opponent on the road Friday evening, falling in straight sets to College of the Desert (25-16, 25-19, 25-17) in an Inland Empire Athletic Conference matchup. The Panthers were resilient across all rotations, staying competitive through extended rallies in each set.
Lauren Medina and Emma Rhodes led Chaffey's offense, each recording seven kills to pace the attack. Medina also contributed two service aces and a dig, while Rhodes added one ace and three digs. Lailah Williams provided an efficient performance at the net, finishing with three kills on five attempts, and Kasey Quevedo added a kill.
Natalia Frausto directed the offense with seven assists, one kill, and an ace, while Madalyn Ayers-Morris added 12 assists and three digs. Rachel Buck made an impact at the service line with three aces, helping ignite late runs in the second and third sets. Grace Hoang led the backcourt with seven digs and a service ace, providing stability in serve receive, while Daija Harmon added two kills and five receptions.
As a team, Chaffey totaled 21 kills, 19 assists, eight service aces, and 19 digs.
The Panther will conclude the 2025 season on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Mt. San Jacinto College at 5 p.m.
